  • It doesn't matter to me, but it matters to him so he will be wearing one. He also has an engagement ring which he will wear on his right hand after we are married.

That is the first I've ever heard of a man wearing an engagement ring. You live and learn! :)

As I said in another thread, I have a ring but only wear it when we are going out or on special occasions. On a day to day basis, it annoys the hell out of me.

If he didn't want one I wouldn't mind but he is wearing one so I'm thrilled :-) And doubley thrilled by how excited he is to wear it.

Michael Buble has one, apparently wherever his GF comes from it is a tradition.

We'll both have rings, but i dont expect my OH to be wearing it at work, ive seen the damage a wedding band can cause when its been ground back into the knuckle or cuts into the skin, not a pretty sight. I will be expecting him to wear it at home though.

I don't mind if OH wears his ring or not, he currently wears the silver band I got him as his 'engagement' ring so sure he will wear it. I am rubbish and probably will keep taking mine off as I don't like the feeling of rings on my fingers at all!!
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:

My now ex wore an engagement ring...it was his choice and surprised me when he suggested it. He wore one when he got engaged to the one he moved onto after our divorce too!

It does matter to me, but I don't expect it as most men don't. That said I know he will, as he wears a claddagh like this one as an engagement ring (but he's Irish, and wearing them as a sign of commitment is very traditional) and only takes it off to shower or do DIY.
