Can anyone help me beat this price? (wedding ring related)

Anyone fancy helping me see if this the cheapest you can find?

My OH wants.....

Plain, 9ct yellow, 7mm court shaped band in a size X. It has to be a decent weight - around 8gm.

The cheapest we have found is this one at just under £190:

May not help you... but we've just bought our wedding bands from Goldsmiths for a grand total of £500... or £125 in tesco clubcard vouchers, so free effectively. (Cant think of anything better to spend them on anyway)

I wonder how on earth I would find out how heavy in gm that Argos one was, to compare it price wise?

I was going to use my tesco vouchers but we are saving them for our honeymoon to use on a cosmos deal otherwise I would have gone to goldsmiths!

I would go to argos and have a feel of it. I doubt they'd be able to tell you the weight but they generally have most sizes in stock, so try it on and see how it feels.

Also, if you're looking to buy from a large national store take a look on ebay for vouchers. Argos vouchers on ebay for example, tend to sell for about 10% less than face value, every penny adds up!!

Betts metal is cheaper however they don't do 7mm rings. Their 6mm is £97 (7.9 gms) and their 8mm (10.4 gms) is £127. Their website is www.bettsmetalsales.com and you need to register and login as a hobbyist. Also need to make sure you select the polishing finishing option. Got both our rings with them and we are really happy with them.
