I use boots own, it's been on offer recently. I love the plum in loreal casting but's its semi permanent, so it washes out fairly quickly. I've also used nice n easy but they don't do the plummy or burgundy colours that I likeI get paid to smell great :j0

I usually use the good name brands, but the other month I was in Wilkingsons, and they had thier own brand, plus it was buy 2 for a fiver, so I thought I would give it a go, it turned out to be one of the best home dyes I have ever used.:D0

I used to get my har coloured at the salon for year but for the last 3 or so year I have been colouring at home. It saves me lots of money as I had to go every 8 weeks or so to cover the regrowth.
Now, I always use Loreal Excellence, comes out quite nicely. I never change colours though as I'm scared it turns out badly.
I wouldn't do high or low-lights at home though. I think with highlights you can usually tell if it's been done professionally or not, but you can't go to wrong with just a simple colour.0 -
i have mine done in salon, dont trust home kits and my hair is too important to me so leave it in care of high up colourists who have plenty of experience. im extremely fussy.0
