Child car seat safety ratings ?

Can somebody point me in the direction of a website that has child car seat safety ratings please.
I am looking for a second stage seat for my son, he is 11 months old now.
I can't find any.
can't help with specifics.
But rear facing seats until the children are about 5 or 6, in Europe, is pretty standard, and by all accounts the safest.
For some reason, this hasn't caught on in the UK so much.
Worth checking out though, I would have thought. All over the place, from the popular culture to the propaganda system, there is constant pressure to make people feel that they are helpless, that the only role they can have is to ratify decisions and to consume.0
