Hello All

I spotted Wilkos selling Clematis plants at £5 a pop compared to £8+ in other places (B&Q, Garden centres)

Can anyone vouch for the quality of these? Or is it a false economy..

Many Thanks

Not sure about the Wilko's one, but I got 2 climbers from Morrison's last year, both for £1.49 and within one season they shot up to around 3 mts high. The quality was fantastic if you can be bothered to buy them very small and wait for them to grow.

I would also recommend Morrison's clematis (and passionflowers) They're £1.79 and establish themselves really quickly.
I think I have 8 or 9 of them now...

Yes give them a go, even at £1.79 you're getting good VFM. My father in law has a few too and they're all thriving.

Well I nipped down to Morrisons last night and I got a massive batch of plants for £15!

I got 2 clematis plants, 2 climbing jasmines, a passion flower cluimber, a tomato plant, a pepper plant, a pink alpine, 10 trailing lobelias and another plant which was an evergreen with pink flowers.

I'll let you know how they get on :j
