Hi I booked with cresta using tesco points and we found it cheaper going on the ferry. we are actually flying over with easyjet, but you need to book the transport aswell to use your points so we wanted the cheapest option as not going to use the ferry tickets anyway. hope that makes sense, we are going feb half term and kids can't wait. hope this helps have a good holiday.
  • Hi suermum we looked at using cresta for october 1/2 term but it seemed tp work out very expensive even using vouchers.

how did you find the cost for febuary ? in the end we gave up which is a shame as we have aload of vouchers may try using them for florida next year now .
  • We have booked for Disneyland Paris 3 times using Cresta/Bridge (they are now the same company) and Tesco vouchers. The first 2 times we managed 5 and 7 of us during February half term for just over £600 (£150 of vouchers) on a 3 day stay each time. This time we were forced to book a 5 day holiday so, even though we only wanted to go for 3 days, we have had to go for 5 days and inevitably it has cost us more for 6 of us by car at £865 (216.25 in vouchers).

The ferry prices are far cheaper than Eurostar and in any case there were no Eurostar free places left for the kids so we are driving this time.

To use Tesco vouchers with Cresta/Bridge, you have to book before 31st October too.

You can also use Tesco vouchers with Leger but ONLY COACH PRICES and if you are a non smoker, Leger coaches are not for you.

This sounds a really good way of spending Tesco Vouchers. The prices that you have quoted, ie. £150 of vouchers. What did this include? eg. Accommodation in a disney hotel and tickets, or something else.

  • The price of the holidays I quoted included park tickets, travel and hotel. The first time was 7 of us for 3 days and we went by ferry and stayed in Davy Crockett Ranch for £600ish - 4 children were free and the 3 adults paid. The second time was for 3 days by Eurostar staying at Explorers hotel for 5 of us for just over £600 - 3 children were free. This time it's £865 for 5 days for 6 of us by ferry - 3 children are free, 1 child is paying and 2 adults paying.

I wouldn't dream of paying those prices if I actually had to pay though!
  • Hiya

I was just looking at the prices for Leger by coach for later on next year - What was the problem with the coaches Bernadette - Surely they were not allowing people to smoke?

    LA

PS I am a smoker but wouldnt subject dd to x amount of hours on a smokey coach

No they don't allow people to smoke on their coaches. I board the coaches to check the passports so I only spend around 2 or 3 minutes on each coach but for a non smoker it can be really difficult not to be affected by the smell of nicotine eminating from those on board so I couldn't imagine having to sit for at least 7 hours between Dover and Disneyland. It's not just Leger coaches - Ferris, Siesta for example seem to attract a larger than average amount of smokers.

PS I am not deliberately trying to offend smokers, it's just nicotine is very noticeable to non smokers like me and in an enclosed area it is even less palatable.

Hi zeberdy we paid £1020 pounds for 4 adults and 2 children staying for 5 days at davy crocket ranch, i think this was expensive as we have been several times before with european life and paid less than half that. but as i paid with vouchers i was happy enough. we booked our flights with easyjet (bmi originally) as we live in the northeast and it's a long journey to dover with 4 children. hope you get sorted.
  • The cresta prices made me go  especially as you had to go for 4 nights minimum. We have used our tesco vouchers to book eurostar to paris and will then get the train from there. I have booked the holiday inn as I thought that a disney hotel would be just too much Mickey for Mr Crispy.
"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee."
