CSA paternity test

    That's not strictly true as the OP could apply through the courts if he can knows some details about the mother, like address etc.

    Still gonna be costly though unfortunately.

    Obviously, but it becomes a lot more complicated and, as you say, a lot more expensive. The test isn't something he can just do privately as could happen if he was having regular contact with the child. It's very sad that the mother is willing to take money from her child's father but not giving the child the benefit of knowing him.

    I havn't even seen the child, was never informed of the birth, the name or sex either.

    That's so sad - for you and the child. Have you considered going to court to get access? I suppose now you are better off making sure the child is yours before you build up any relationship with it.
