Tesco Home delivery issue?

Not sure if this is a fuss about nothing but I had my online shop delivered on Saturday. Tesco guy brought all the crates into my kitchen (I'd selected no bags) so I was unloading onto my kitchen side.

There was a tesco bag with the handles tied together and as I picked it up, it was obvious something in it was leaking and straight away I smelt bleach. By that time it was all down my top and trousers. It was the kitchen cleaner spray with bleach. The Tesco driver apologised but didnt say anything else.

About 20 mins later (i.e. after the delivery guy had gone) I noticed my black trousers and black top were stained pink from the bleach.

Would you ask for something towards a replacement or put it down to bad luck? :(

I had something similar when I had a delivery.

Something had broken and it was all over my shopping and all over my floor.

    Took ages to clean up.

I contacted them, they refunded my money and sent me a voucher.

I'd ask for the value of the clothes.

Ring Tescos up and explain what has happened and that the driver apologised but didnt say anything else. Just be polite about it if you shout down the phone the only thing you will get is the call cut. Good luck and let us know what happens.

    Thanks everyone.

There was actually something missing from the order so I've filled in the online query form and sent it with the comments about the bleach bottle. I'll see what they say and if it is glossed over might give them a call.
