1. ask your isp/check your invoice/check your isp control panel
2. you can check your ip at https://www.whatismyip.com then see if it changes between router/modem reboots. You may need to leave the router off for some time (i dont know how long - sorry).
3. you can check your ip at https://www.whatismyip.com then check the details with an IPWHOIS lookup at https://www.dnsstuff.com on the IP. This may tell you if you are dynamic/static but may not. Mine says "dynamic/adsl pool" but mine is static.NURSE: "Shouldn't it be sterilized, doctor?"

Start > run > cmd > ipconfig
This tells you the ip address of the computer on the internet (as long as your not connected to a network).
It saves having to go to whatismyip.com or anything but ye.. same job.[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

If you have a static address but want it to be dynamic, perhaps to aid your privacy, try checking out the TOR network.0
