Digital camera thoughts: Canon G11

I'm looking to buy a new digital camera and have been doing some research and have finally made a selection: the Canon G11. I have also considered the Nikon D3000 and the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3. Is the G11 a good choice? Does anyone out there own one, if so, what is your personal opinion on the G11 or any of the other models mentioned above? Is there another model I should be considering?
