Just pondering what to do with an item i've just recieved off ebay matter of 20 mins ago, beautiful top, but quite a few issues with it. Fixable issues are : The strong smoke smell, the white marks all over the top (looks like face cream as there's quite a bit still on it), hole under the armpit, potential small yellow stain dot on the side of the arm.
Unfixable issues - advirtised as a size 16-18, label states 12.
It was advirtised as "worn once", so was a little shocked at the condition to say the least, bought loads of worn clothing, and this was by far the worst condition one i'd recieved in years, but realistically, a lot of it can be sorted.
So i'm now wondering - should I open up a paypal claim because of the misadvirtised size, knowing I would have to pay upto/around £2 to send it back First class Recorded, or wash it a few times to get it all freshened up, with hope the cream marks do all come out stitch the hole, and relist it, and post on the auction about the little stain, with a cost of a few pence for some extra pictures and FVF if it sells for 99p or so? (Top cost £3 inc p+p, seller's first sale, low feedback)
Have emailled the seller now, and will take photos of the top once battery is charged, just pondering what might be better, considering costs, thanks

I'd email the seller first and tell her that you are disappointed in the state of the item and the misdescription. She may well just refund without wanting it back, if not then I would return it but let her know you expect to be reimbursed your return postage, then consider your feedback carefully.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I have emailled the seller, and as I have said, it seems to be thier first sale, and will wait and see what is said, but just wanted to ask about potential situations, thankyou very much for that, i'll wait for a reply, and get some pictures anyway

Hi, I hope you get it sorted. I had similar with a bundle of boys' tops I won on ebay. The picture wasn't very clear (just all piled on top of each other with the best one on the top) but the description was great, good brands, and actually said "very good condition". However, when they arrived they were very faded and mis-shapen and on one the emblems looked like they had been cut and ripped off. Out of the 6 tops there was only one that was any good and that was 2 sizes too big. I didn't bother to message the seller because I sniped them for £1.04 and she had messed up the postage (cost her more to send than she charged me.) I haven't left feedback yet - and probably won't.0
