Locking computer keyboard?

I was at a friend's today. She has a child of 4 and while we were chatting the little girl got to the computer and played with the keyboard. The computer was on and some stuff disappeared, which we then managed to recover.
My friend said she wished computer keyboards could be locked just like mobile phones. Now I got curious - is it possible?

i think some keyboards come with this option. Couldnt she put it on password protect scrensaver, where you have to press ctrl alt+del and then have enter as the password. A 4yr old would be very unlikely to press these in the right order.Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0

1. password protect your login and do windows+L to lock it.
2. like rygon says a password protected screen saver. there used to be a clear screen saver knocking about on the internet that allowed you to see what was happening on the desktop and have it password protected.NURSE: "Shouldn't it be sterilized, doctor?"
DR. BENWAY: "Very likely but there's no time."0
