Anyone had this problem before?

Options
Hi all,

Unfortunately someone reversed into my car the other day whilst it was parked on the driveway.
Luckily they knocked on the door and gave me their details.
The problem has come with the insurance claim.
I am entitled to a courtesy car whilst mine is repaired, which I duly collected.
I couldn't arrange a babysitter so I had to take my 3 year old with me to pick it up, this meant that I didn't check the cars condition as well as I should have.
On getting home I have noticed a scratch just below the front headlight which isn't noted on the condition report.
I am starting to worry that I am going to be stung for their policy excess!

Anyone got any suggestions or been in this position before?

Yeah, probably will get stung.... If the scratch ain't too bad, i'd be inclined to polish it out.

I use a lot of hire cars at work and this sort of thing happens all the time. It is common that there are actually 2 damage reports - the one they give you and the real one that has been properly filled in hidden under the carpet in the boot - its worth having a look to see if there's anything there.
