appoitment incomesupport

I got a phone call today reminding me of a appointment that i never knew i had. They said they sent me a letter "never got it" but anyway.

I have been off ill from work for nearly 2 years and they said because of that i have a appointment?

Does any one know what this appointment is all about and what happens?

It's likely just a meeting to make sure that you are getting what you are entitled to - see if maybe you are able to take up other forms of work etc. Do keep the appointment, as you may find your benefits get suspended if you don't go.

My understanding is IS do a review every 2 years to check your entitlement is correct and your circumstances haven't changed. AM is correct though, most benefits have penalty clauses if you fail to turn up for compulsary interviews/appointments.

I will show up. Just if they had not called today i would never have known and not been able to attend and possibly lost my benefits which i think is bad but at least they called which was nice.
