Halifax are quite generous. They've given me £1100 0% for 10 months. But I am amazing.
Not necessarily true. Got my first credit card in my first year of uni (just finishing 4th year of integrated masters now) and I got £1,500 limit, 16.4% (pay off in full every month).
That was with Abbey/Santander.
Also worth adding, is there any particular reason why you need a car while you are studying. Cars are very expensive machines!0
