Working Tax credits confusion

I am someone else confused by the whole system :)

I have been unemployed for 18 months and so my income for last tax year was solely JSA. I finally got a job 2 weeks ago and when signing off was advised to claim Work credits. I had no idea what they were so said yes. I have received, and since reading up on them, what is in my opion a generous sum considering what my wage will be for the coming year.

I'm now concerened that i will be liabel for overpayments come the next tax year. I fully expect to get no tax credits next year based on my wage of £32000 but will i have to repay this years if i collect them?

Thanks in advance for all your help
