I have been sent a couple of publisher files, but they won't open in my version of Publisher (they are not compatible with my version of Publisher apparently). Is there a free programme that will let me open the files, or can I do something to my version of publisher?

Don't think there is a publisher viewer, there is for word, powerpoint etc.
easiest way is to get the person that sent you the files to resend them in a compatable version to yours, should be able to do that using 'Save As' functionality.Ever stop to think and forget to start again?0
