6% fixed rate for one year

I was going past a branch of Yorkshire Building Society this morning and saw a poster advertising this 1 year fixed rate, minimum investment £1000. Does anyone know of any strings attached to this deal. If there are noe, why is it not in the various best buy tables??

In conjunction with an L&G investment bond.

N.B. This Savings Bond is only available when purchased alongside a Legal & General investment bond following advice from a Legal & General Adviser. The minimum investment amount for the Savings Bond is £1,000 and for the Legal & General investment bond is £5,000, making the total combined minimum investment £6,000. Unlike a deposit account, capital in the Legal & General investment bond is not guaranteed, its value and the level of income may fall as well as rise.

At least 70% of total investment must be in a Legal & General investment bond.
Minimum investment of £5,000 with Legal & General.

Yeah I've given up wasting my time bothering to read the terms and conditions as it usually means you have to take out some form of other investment that I wouldn't be interested in.

Thanks all for clearing that up for me - I thought that it was too good to be true!
