Help someone with no feedback is bidding

I have a watch on ebay that ends today. Its worth about £400 and is currently sitting at £200ish but someone has just bid that has no feedback. I am really worried about selling it to them if they win as i have heard so much about scams. I didnt state in my listing that people with 0 feedback couldn't bid. Is there anything I can do now?
thanks

You can't block buyers with zero feedback and the only way you could have prevented it would have been to set your preferences to exclude bidders with no card registered and less than 5 feebdack. However it is too late for that now.

You can cancel the bid if you want and block the bidder but zero isn't necessarily a scammer, after all how many feedback did you have when you first signed up to ebay? If you do decide to let the bidder carry on just take all normal steps with posting, special delivery and only to the address that paypal tell you it is oK to send to. Then keep your silver special slip for 180 days in case of a chargeback.

If you decide to pull the bid then do ti quickly as you will then drop to a lower price and may attract another bidder in quickly enough to achieve the final price you want. If you leave it too late you might not get more bidders and you may end up with it going to cheaply.

You can state that but its not enforceable its as enforceable as telling them they have to where their pants outside their trousers to bid. If your that worried you could cancel their bid and block them but everyone had to start somewhere they could be a real bidder. The best way to protect yourself is to set your seller preferences tight to only accept bids from those with a CC on file.

Most 0 FB bidders who would scam won't actually pay for the item you will get a fake email saying you have funds so check your PP account directly

Go to Goofbay and check this buyers bidding history

If they do happen to be a Nigerian scammer and win this may be useful

I will be sending it special delivery and only to a UK address and the one confirmed on paypal. Is there any other steps I should be taking? I am more concerned that they say its a fake and claim back through paypal! I have noted down the serial number and as I won it in a competition i have kept the emails saying i won it and also have the paperwork showing it was sent straight from the supplier (dont know if any of this will help)!

im in the same position saving123,

I have an item which a 0 feedback bidder has won the item on saturday evening, im still awaiting payment. The item is faulty and im expecting the usual "i did not know it was faulty, please cancel my bid" email from the buyer.

Part of me says that i should jump and offer a 2nd chance offer to the next bid which was £2 less and they have over 500 in feedback, so i can get rid of the item today, instead of waiting a week, then the NPB route.

    Oh the eBay joys.

I wouldn't worry i doubt they'll win as someone with a little more ebay expereince will wait until the last seconds or snipe before bidding. The 0 feedback bidder will just be pushing up the price imho
