child tax credit

hi i hope someone can advise.would an overpayment of child tax credits because my partner didnt give my full year ib figure to the tax credit office effect my entitlement to my IB.the reason he didnt give the right figure was because i hadnt recieved my form from dwp with the info on so my partner worked it out but worked it out wrong

    any overpayment of tax credits should have no bearing on your incapacity benefit, tax credits overpayment would only be recovered from your tax credit awards and not from any other benefits.

    thanks ,i was concerned they my stop my IB not take money out of it

    to stop this from happening again though, when you do get your dwp paperwork, give them a call and give them the information that is accurate - then you won't get any (or shouldn't!) nasty surprises next tax year :)

    hi i still havent had my subtitute p60 this year.does anyone think that they may stop my ib for the mistake on the child tax credit

    No, as advised above, any child tax credit overpayment will be deducted from future child tax credit awards.
