Oh my, Is this normal these days? I'm dreading my daughter getting to this age. It was just normal (nice) clothes in my day.

ok, i'm confused. Wedding breakfast is the new name for the dinner after you get married. Reception in my day. So, you mean wedding breakfast as in the breakfast the following morning after you get married, ie after the wedding night!

LOL.... i think she means LITERAL breakfast! Ie, the next morning ;)
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

I'm glad I read to the end of all this as I was getting confused...wedding breakfast is the meal you have after your wedding so you'd be in your wedding dress for that. So does that mean you're planning on dressing up for your breakfast the next day?? Wow after all the stress of a wedding the day before and probably a few drinks afterwards I'm gonna be lucky if I fall into clean PJs next morning :rotfl::rotfl:

The wedding breakfast is the first meal you have after the ceremony - i.e. you break the fast of your marriage

Breakfast the day after is plain old breakfast, although it is now pretty common to have a special outfit. As we are travelling my outfit is white linen trouser and white cardi with a t shirt saying "the all new mrs james"
