Will there be a September Ebay Challenge?

Before the postage changes, I just used to weigh the item on the kitchen scales and then go to the royal mail website and find out how much it was to send.
Memorabilia sells well on ebay.
I once bought an 80's hand-held 'frogger' game from a boot fair (along with a hardback 1908 edition 'The Three Bears' for my daughters) for £2.50.
I put the Frogger on ebay (kept the book), and got £39!!!
I keep a keen eye out for that sort of thing now at boot fairs!0 -
i do the kitchen scales thing lol
i still do
then on the royal mail postal thing, you tell it what it is and it comes up with how much it should be
i dont like the new postage charges lol
I dont know what to do anymore

Also how do you decide what to charge for postage?
If you have something in mind that ou would like to sell the best thing I find is to log onto ebay, find the items and stick them on your watch list for 2 or 3 days to find out what they are going for.
My P&P costs also include the price of petrol to the post office. I make this known to buyers in my listing so that they cannot complain later if they think they have paid too much. Have a look on ebay for bulk buy of jiffy bags/buble wrap etc and compare it to your local store - I bought mine on ebay ages ago, got a massive roll of bubble wrap and I'm still working my way through it! Brown paper is handy for over the bubblewrap!

Someone i know went to a regular auction where they were selling all kinds of house clearance crap, and bought a leather bound portfolio of work by the artist Goya. (I doubt they were originals, but you never know). The auction place referred to it as a book, which was incorrect, and it atracted no interest, so he bought it for £1.
He put it on ebay, along with photos of all the work inside, including the leather portfolio, that had the words Goya stitched/embossed onto the cover, and it sold to a US artdealer for £400.
Good work if you can find it."I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something."0 -

Put the books on greenmetropolis.com and amazon, and ebay if you want. That way you will have multiple points of sale available. Just remember to take them off the sites when/if they sell.
A CD will cost less than a £1 to post if it is thin enough..."I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something."0 -
