What I meant was, if it's a problem that's likely to stay as it is, then I'll live with it until my next service. If it's a precurser to it suddenly stranding me and a very expensive repair, then I'll haul it into the garage now.0 -
From what you've described, I doubt it will be too expensive. But that is pure guess work. It MAY get worse progressively (say a fouled filter), or may just give up the ghost suddenly (coil breaking down). As you arent able to cobble it together at the roadside, it might be best to have it looked at.0

It was the crank sensor that eventually gave up on my Zafira.
Have a look on a vauxhall forum for how to read the fault codes.

My car (not a Vauxhall) was doing the same thing - turning over fine but not igniting. It did strand me eventually, had to get recovery out etc, turned out to be the crank sensor. Funnily enough, as soon as the mechanic diagnosed this and I googled it, it turned out to be exactly the symptoms my car had been displaying. Crank sensor has been replaced, and the car is going great now, starts first time, and no juddering. As far as I'm aware, if its the crank sensor thats the problem, this should show up on diagnostics.0
