Ebay unusual sale - What a fabulous idea this is!

Firstly I can confirm that the seller has nothing to do with me although I am a keen supporter of Oxfam.

Anyway, this costs you a quid.
The quid goes 100% to Oxfam.
You get positive feedback for donating a quid!

Simples.

There is a good chance of that listing getting pulled as they aren't actually selling anything. If anyone wants to give to oxfam I suggest give directly using gift aid as they will get the tax back and get more money

fair point cyberbob, but still, for those who wish to make a single 'one off' donation to a worthy cause, it is not bad eh? Plus you will get some positive feedback - particularly useful for new ebayer's trying to get a rep.

Not really because people will see you have bought FB and its not exactly for a proper transaction. I know if i checked out a new seller and there FB from buying (which has to be positive anyway) was from transactions like this I would avoid them. It could do more harm than good and make you look very dodgy

Anytime you buy anything on ebay you can donate £1 to any charity you want.

I'm sure it's available without buying anything too, and to be honest I'd rather do that than poorly disgused feedback bolstering.
Have you seen the sellers stars? Obviously they decided to get a nice way to prop them up.

Feedback as a buyer is pointless, so sorry, but I've marked as spam as this is hardly the place for this kind of thing.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p

Hmm, maybe I'll buy one to donate the quid, then give the seller 4 out of 20 stars and a neg. They're selling feedback, may as well give them some that'll stand out.

Totally against this and so are ebay. Basically your buying feedback, a digital item.
A digital item is a computer file or special information that you can access online or have delivered electronically. Digitally delivered goods and items which are transferred electronically are not permitted on eBay. Some examples of digital items are:
    • Electronic books or ebooks
    • Digital pictures
    • Other electronic documents
Domain names and tickets which may be transferred electronically are excluded and may be traded on eBay.

The listing has now (quite correctly) been removed by eBay.
