Colour problem when playing a DVD on my new TV

I bought a Samsung 32in LCD HD ready TV today. Wonderful pic quality! I play an old VHS tape on it & its great.....then I put on fireman Sam for my son & the red engine was blue!!! Same with the Noddy DVD, poor old Noddy's hat was blue instead of red & they both had a turquoise tinge to the screen. I've played about with the colours/contrasts & nothing happens. I've changed the scart cable to no avail! I'm finding it puzzling as the TV colour is OK & the old VHS tape!

Can anyone shed a light on this!? Ta very much.

So video is connected by scart and dvd player is hdmi right or is it by scart ?, does the dvd player a scart connection on the back you could see what the picture is like when playing dvd ?

I stand corrected - noddy's had is blue - but the blue I'm seeing is not a correct blue!

I have a tape/DVD combi so the 1 scart. Scart goes from the combi to the SKY box & then a scart from the SKY to the TV which has 1 scart socket.

oh its a tape/dvd combo, in that case then i dont know what else to try, i was going to suggest its the scart cable but the tv is fine and you have tried another scart cable,

scart lead direct from dvd player to tv, without a sky box in the middle
