unblocking ebay payment page

Hi, I really do no nothing about computers,but since yesterday morning i have been trying to buy my daughter a football kit on ebay for school next week,on my new but second hand p.c, when it is time for me to log in from ebay to paypal it wont allow me,ive tried everything,i finally thought i wonder if the prevoius owner had somesort of block,so ive been looking around the system and i did find

i have tried every thing to allow it but it stubbornly remained,now i cant even find this again but i still cant buy the item, does anybody know what i need to do please

Are you using IE as a browser, ?
Are the number lock or caps lock keys are off.

Try this, download firefox . youll have to google that as I cannot post a line to it . .mozilla-europe.org
there maybe something in the cookies cache on your old computer, using a different browser will sort that problem

no idea how to remove the block. If already using firefox you could try opera or IE which will already be in the computer. Have you already started to use the computer eg have you stored pictures, documents on there yet as you could (as a last resort mind) do a reinstall of xp(or vista, 7)

some were on control panel and i think it may have been internet options then privecy settings or one of them,i cant seem to find it now,but I am really uneducated with computers
I havent really saved much on the p.c yet,nothing i would mind losing anyway,I would prefare to get this fixed

I think ive messed up with firefox, there was a choice of settings one a custom one and another one that was recommended for beginners which i chose and then it came up that cookies were being transfered from IE ,i think this may be why i still cant use paypal on ebay

Having cookies shouldn't make any difference to an Ebay sign in.

Using Firefox, click on Tools which is just above the address bar, click options, then privacy. When the menu shows click on Show Cookies then Remove All Cookies. Try to sign into Ebay again.

If you're still having problems then I would suggest you download, run and install Malwarebytes Antimalware just in case you've got any nasties lurking. If it finds anything then post a log here.
