Help green bathroom suite!

Next month I'm moving into a lovely little cottage:j but there is one problem it has a avocado green bathroom suite. the toilet is seperate but still is a lovely green colour and the walls are painted green too!

Has anyone got any advice? Shall I just paint the walls white or go for a more funky colour?

I am only renting but am planning to stay there for a quite a while.

Thanks in advance
Donna

Something wrong with Avocado Green suites? :rotfl:
As it's a cottage then a pure, brilliant white will look out of place, IMHO. Try "apple white" if it's still made, white with a hint of colour, in this case green, which should fit in better with the "cottagey" look. Don't forget to ask the landlord's permission.

  • When I moved in to my place it had a sky blue bathroom suite with blue rag rolled walls. Special! Now all the walls and tiles are white with silver acessories it very livable with.
  • Just try not to think about the colour - read a book!

I agree with this. We moved into house with grey bathroom suite, grey floor, blue walls. Suite was in too good condition to replace.

Have tiled bathroom walls white, grey/white mosaic vinyl on floor, white bath panel and toilet seat and room is completely transformed. Brought in brightly coloured towels to take away clinical look.

Had this prob in a house I rented - best thing to do is go with the green. If you try and avoid it, it kind of draws the eye even more!

What I did was paint the walls in a really nice mint Kitchen and Bathroom paint (recommend Wilkinsons), get a matching bright mint and white shower curtain, white big fluffy towels, mint bathmat etc, and white wooden accessories - all the white and mint muted the avocado, and helped it feel fresh and light.

    HTH.
