Antivir v. AVG? Antivir may be a better killer of malware but you might not find the user interface so easy to use. Own preference really. More on this in a recent discussion at the top anti-malware site CastleCops here ...

Have used the free version of AVG for a good few months now after ditching the horrible Mcafee. To date no issues (fingers crossed it stays that way). Seems to be updated a least 2 to 3 times a week and doesn't slow my PC down when doing a viruscan in the same way that McAfee did0
