Selling Bottled Elderflower Cordial

Hi all,
I am looking to sell some of my pink elderflower cordial this year for a local charity and wondered if I would hit problems doing this (for example, will I need to hold a basic hygiene certificate, etc?)
Has anyone experience of this? I am not sure whether to ask here or on Old Style, so have started here.
Thanks

Hmm well technically you would, it depends where you sell them eg in a shop there might be a problem, though I doubt health officers would swoop. Something like meat of course would be a different matter.Freedom is the freedom to say that 2+2 = 4 (George Orwell, 1984).

I asked an acquaintance from the W.I. It's not at all clear, she tells me. Obviously, it has to be safe to drink and the Food Standard's Agency is the adviser on that one.
It's best to err on the side of caution and voluntarily label the bottles with your ingredients. I might even put 'may contain nuts' - even if doesn't!
The Women's Institute has a useful guide on safety and hygiene (most of which won't be news to you, I'm sure).
I'd buy your elderflower cordial, by the way. A home-made cordial would go down very well in this house! :j0 -
Thanks everyone, I had found it very confusing having googled it originally. I was planning to put a list of ingredients on the label as well as instructions for diluting.
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

I'd buy it.I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)
As of the last count I have cleared [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt.
