Want a new car with big boot

Thanks for the replies so far, I am thinking the part of my post where I put my budget has been overlooked?
We are looking at lot's of different cars at the moment, but personal reccomendations are always welcome, as are insights in how to talk down the "target price" if possible.
Thanks
I'd be amazed if you get lower than the target price, which is usually a broker somewhere who'll put you in touch with that dealer. If you want that, phone the magazine and ask them where they get that price (I have my doubts that all of the prices are up to date every month!).
Best chance to do it, is if you see that car you like, when making negotiations to buy it, tell them the target price and let them know getting down to around price is a deal breaker as you'll get it elsewhere. If they say know, you have to stand and leave and see what they say.0 -
Skoda Octavia has a huge boot. Ford C-Max has an enormous boot, bigger than a Range Rover or BMW 5 Series Estate.0

What about MPVs like Citroen Berlingo, Renault Kangoo, Peugeot Partner.... or even bigger with the Fiat Qubo (funky looking!)0

VW Jetta, massive boot even bigger than a Passat and you can get some great deals on them0

As for target price it helps to be savvy on what is popular or not. On popular cars you will struggle to get anymore off than the target price. On less poular cars then it should be a starting point.
The other thing to remember is Ford is over pricing their cars currently so if you don't get a massive discount then you are being legged over. Personally their current business model just irritates me.
Have a look here for current good deals:-

Here is an example of Ford pricing:-
Ford Focus 1.8 FFV Style 5dr. 10 Reg. Only 5 miles at £10,599- a saving of £5,496*
This model comes with ABS, CD Player, Central Locking, Electric Mirrors, Electric Windows, Power Steering and Traction Control. 40.3 MPG (combined)0 -
How about the Kia Cee'd Station Wagon.
It gets some good reviews and comes with a 7 year warranty.
Yo'd have to haggle slightly to get it for your budget, but might be able to find a demonstrator for the price.0 -

Good shout.
Just had one of them as a hire car - massive boot.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
The Vauxhall Vectra has a tardis for a boot and is one of the safest cars in it's class, with driver/passenger/side airbags.
I own one, I can fit a mountain in the back (1 wheel removed) without pushing the seats forward and still use the parcel shelf. I managed to fit a new oil drum style barbecue in the boot along with 2x10kg bags of charcoal + my GF's weekly food shop, again without removing the parcel shelf!
I've also had a fully built office desk in the back with the seats down.
But as with all cars, once purchased... avoid the stealerships at all cost!“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
