Anyone use Wainwrights tray food for a dog with allergies?

Just put my border collie cross on Wainwrights tray food (lamb and rice) at the suggestion of my groomer who said he had allergies (ear probs, bites feet, dry skin, scratchy) to thew food he was on. I bought the dry food for him but he didn't touch that so am trying the trays. He eats the lot in one go and has been on it 4 days and is starting to act like he is more 'full of himself' - being cheeky, lots of wiping his feet after 'going' while we are out walking and growling and seems to have a lot more energy. I chose the lamb and rice because they are supposed to be non-allergenic but is it ok to try the other flavours too?
How does anyone else who uses the Wainwrights trays find them?
I have realised I will never play the Dane! :(

Where are my medals? Everyone else on here has medals!! :p

  • All the trays are hypoallergenic, I'd probably stick with the one flavour for a bit and make extra sure there are no problems.

How long did you put the dry food down for? Sometimes it takes several days... it'll cost a lot less if you can feed half dry and half trays :)

I put it down for 2 days but he didnt touch it once, just sniffed it and turned away :(
Hence the trays which he seems to love. Is it right that I feed him just 3/4 of a tray a day? It says it on the box for a medium dog but it doesnt seem much food for him.

I feed my girl the Wainwrights trays - not for any particular reason (ie allergies) but she likes them and people often comment on how shiny her coat is :).I agree that the feeding guidelines don't seem alot (she has a tray a day at 37kgs plus chew treats and bones) but she is maintaining a healthy weight. I buy it in multi packs of 12 from Pets at home online - they usually have free delivery plus a discount on bank holiday weekends - if you stick with this food its the cheapest way I've found of buying it. If you sign up for the newsletter they let you know when these offers are on.

Forgot to say - don't forget 5% quidco as well :)
