I've been reading about the '12 week blow dry' and wondered if anyone has had it done in Belfast or anywhere within an hours drive of Belfast
?
If so...is it as great as it sounds ?
Would you recommend it ?
What were the prices like ???
Thanks:j

What is "12 week blowdry"?
Is it something to do with hairdressers?0 -
:rotfl:sorry...yes...it's a 'treatment' for curly/frizzy hair which is supposed to make your hair look like it has just been professionally blow dried, but the effects last for up to 12 weeks ...hence the name ???
Unless you have naturally curly/frizzy hair which 'gets bigger' in humid/damp conditions, you'll not understand the potential 'life changing' impact this treatment could have :j
It's NOT supposed to involve chemicals and it IS supposed to improve the condition of this type of hair.
Apart from the price (£150 + ) it nearly seems too good to be true ???0 -
good god I thought this was something to so with sexxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
A 12 week blow ???
right where is the snitch button0 -
I own a barber shop and one of the wholesalers needed a model for one of these treatments so i recomended my sister in law who has exactly the type of hair you describe ... well she LOVED it ... shes able to blow dry her own hair withoout wanting to scream and kill people/ in fact she went and got it done again before going on holiday . the cost was £150 (ithink)and she got it done in Michele international ( it may have been discounted for her as they were at the demo where she was model and she went down to them to let them see it afterwards)
as a hairdresser i think it is one of the best products iv seen in years ... to such an extent iv thought about going back to ladies hairdressing just to offer this service
If you contact McCoeys Wholesalers they can give you a list of who is using thier product ( i can for the life of me remember the name of it) but it is one of the better ones and is the one iv seen the results of
Cost is usually aboutr £200 TO £250
If you do get it done post here what u think as Id love another viewTHESE ARE THE GOOD OLD DAYS ……
..…JUST WAIT AND SEE0 -
hairdresser in castle street in belfast had a sign in window for this i think it was £100 reduced from £200.0

Thanks BT10...I googled hairdressers in castle street and phoned around. Hair Apartment have a treatment reduced from £200 to £100 which doesn't actually straighten the hair, but takes the frizz out - sounds good to me. Thanks again.0

Hi
I live in Newry & got something similar done in Image salon, although they did use a chemical, but it left it really soft & easy to work with, they said it should last for about 6 months but I got it done End of April & it really needs done agin, but thats alsost 5 months & the best thing about it is it only cost £45.
You can google 'Image, Monaghan St Newry' for their number.
I would rather pay £45 than £150 any day & it works.:j0 -

I'm just off the phone from Image in Newry, but it appears that this process uses perming chemicals , so,instead of curling your hair around rollers, they just brush it through your hair to 'straighten' it ....I tried this proceedure many years ago,but since my (now naturally grey but coloured ) hair is so frizzy, I don't want to apply any more chemicals to it than necessary...Thanks for the heads up anyway :T0 -
I've had it done twice now in Suede hairdressers in Derry,I know it's more than an hour outside Belfast 4 u tho but I found it's really good for eliminating frizz. Iused to get my hair blow dryed every week because I couldnt manage my frizzy hair but with this when I wash it myself the frizz is gone and my hair doesnt go frizzy now in humid conditions.I paid £120 the first time I got it done and it lasted for 14 weeks although I prob could have got a few weeks more out of it. The second time I was charged £140,price must have gone up,but I would recommend it to anyone with frizzy hair.

Well...after months of deliberation I've finally plucked up the courage ( and saved enough money) to have a ''Brazillian Blowdry'' ....who thinks up these names cos they seem to be getting worse ?!?!?
Anyway...I had it done on Thursday morning. It took 3 hours to do, and there are defo chemicals in it cos my eyes watered every now and again whilst the product was being applied.
I've washed my hair twice and although the curl/frizz is still evident when I towel dry my hair,it is VERY easy to blow dry now and holds the straight style ...even in damp conditions.
So far a great success !!:T0
