Hi Loubie_Lou!!It's my birthday on the 5th Sep - and although I am 26 this year, last year when I was due to turn 25, it really was a significant age to me, and definately a motivating factor in wanting to be debt free and sort my life out!It would have been great to have been able to say I was debt free on my 25th birthday and as it was, I ended up with a DFD of the 27th Oct - so not too far off!!Its great to have goals to work towards, and even making your mind up that you want to be debt free is a fab start!!I hope you have a very happy birthday on the 4th my dear! Enjoy it, and treat yourself to a little something - it will keep you going, and you can't be MSE ALL of the time. xx0

Oh no, poor you, just as you were feeling so positive about things too. It's odd that as soon as we try and start actively paying off our debts, something like that seems to happen (it probably used to happen before come to think of it, but we would have just papered over the cracks with our trusty credit cards!). Good luck for getting another job sorted very quickly and hope it doesn't dent your motivation. Keep going!
PS I love the fact that you're going to have a lightbulb moment on Monday - that's forward planning for you!
