Not only is this date significant to me for two reasons (one of them being my birthday:beer: !!!) The other is my second lightbulb moment! I've had another one because during the past 6 months i've mananged to add another £1.5k to my debt  . I am really ashamed of myself for doing this. Its no excuse but I think the main reasons are me taking a 5 grand pay cut (when I was 'let go' from my job in March) and obviously living beyond my means for so many months.
I should hopefully have a new job at the end of next week (I'm praying I do!) and i'll be doing another budget and there should be the chance of lots of overtime in this job too.
My main aim before the end of next year is to half my debt ( its currently (13.5k arrrrgggggggggggggggh! ). I don't think it is too unrealistic!
I'm getting to a point in my life (a quarter of a century old!) where I want to start thinkikng about saving for a house or travelling you know! So I now have regular access to the internet so I can gain encouragement and hope and hopefully help people to in the same predicament as me. So I feel better now and i'm hoping I don't start spending money I don't have on !!!!!!!
Thanks for reading fellow MSE'rs.

i know how you feel being a quarter of a century (i'm only a month behind you!) and wanting to do more. i would love to get my license and get a car. my new job is half an hour walk away at least from home, would have to get two buses as none go my way, and i'm now thinking of all those late nights and early mornings come winter time. not rightly sure what i'm gonna do
