Acer laptop 5810T Timeline

Looking to buy a laptop and got might sight on this, is it a good one Acer Aspire 5810T? Thanks

It all depends what you want it for and what price you can get if for...

I have the 5810TZ wanted the TZG but went with TZ as it was a good price...

The main reason I wanted this model was... upto 8 hour battery life - I use it in my campervan so battery life was the most important factor.

Unless battery life is important to you I would say that you can get much better specced laptops for your money.... That doesn't mean I dont rate this model as it fits my purposes perfectly... the bad points though... underpowered and shared graphics, so when streaming live tv if there is a lot of movement or sparkly things the picture will pixelate.... speakers - even though it's sold as having fancy Dolby sound the speakers are so underpowered and tinny that for the most part any Dolby effect is lost... and because it's so quiet I've now had to invest in a pair of USB speakers just to hear some of my films!

Like I said though in the couple of weeks I've had it it hasn't missed a beat even when multitasking and really does live up the the expectations of the battery life...

If you do still want one then a company on ebay are doing the TZ for £269 (I think) at the mo... although they are advertising it as the TZG - check out the label on the pic of the box and you will see it's the TZ!
