wireless or not?.....

I've recently got a Wanadoo/Orange wireless router livebox. I've connected it to my existing PC via the Ethernet cable. I've got a new PC coming this week :j and I intend to connect it to the livebox with a second Ethernet cable. I'm going to network the PCs/printers  As the PCs are side by side and I haven't got a laptop (yet!), I can't see the point of going wireless at this stage. Both PCs have/will have XP, SP2.

My question is do I need to be concerned about the security? Should I be turning off SSID, using WPA, enabling MAC address filtering etc.? Or am I OK as it is i.e. connected via the ethernet cables?

Thanks!

Thanks albertross. I've unchecked "wireless lan" in the config. Can I assume that I can sleep soundly at night knowing that my neighbours aren't hijacking my broadband connection?
