i didn't really look after my runners last yr from the one pot of strawbs i had (got about 6 small fruits!!!!) so i'll prob have the same crop this yr.. altho' strawbs are lovely and all that, i'd rather grow my veg and flowers in the limited space i have. looking at how the strawb idea has sparked off the replies on here, it's making me jealous! next yr, i'm gonna grow fruit trees in tubs and sacrifice some of my old perennials for some tasty fruit...(anyone with ideas on what dwarf varieties to buy for an eating apple, plum, apricot and raspberry? the latter prob grow in the ground as i don't think they'd be suitable for container growing, will they?0
