Sellers that don't understand RM

Note the £4 charge for 1st class post....on a £400 item
Poor poor seller, a lack of basic common sense might cost him dear. Luckily he has posted a question on the community boards and the error of his ways has been pointed out to him, lets hope he listens.

There's too many of them out there. I keep seeing ticket sellers sending tickets recorded delivery.

If you just want to flog something off on ebay, it is too large and confusing to get it right, quickly. I had trouble myself trying to set a reserve price.... I couldn't work out how to do it at all. Ended up giving up as I think by the time I found out how to do it, it was too late as it had a bid (or something).

Have you seen their payment options, I know that they have to accept Paypal, but they say payment by postal order, cheque, cash. They aren't fully answering the questions asked. Are they likey to be scammed or scam, is my cynical thought.
I've just read their feedback as a seller & they have sold other pricey items, so maybe me just being a little cynical.

Nothing wrong with this is there? Most people prefer Paypal as it offers buyers more protection but it's a bit of a bonus if people choose to pay using a fee free method.

When I read the bit where the seller said they accept postal order, cheque or cash, I assumed that they meant they those three are the only payments methods they want to accept.

They've only got 34 feedback, so they might not realise that they have got to offer paypal as an option (they also ignore the bit about Paypal in the third question that they've posted). I'd say it's likely that they are less worried about using a fee-free payment method and more worried about trying to avoid being the victim of a scam themselves.

They are offering cash though which is not allowed.(Unless paid on collection)

All these issues have been pointed out to him on the community boards and yet he hasn't amended his auction in any way, I suspect the seller is probably someone who will get badly scammed at some point as he thinks he knows what he is doing and will not take advice when offered.

I wonder though if they will accept Paypal, I certainly wouldn't pay by any other method for an expensive item. I was going to say handbag & then remembered that I wouldn't pay £400 + for a bag. That's the price of a car & that holds a lot more make up.

She's answered someone's question & won't accept Paypal as it costs too much.
Some of the answers to questions don't really add up, she knows how long the chain is, the size of the bag but didn't put that in the listing, so I would assume that she would have had to measure the bag to find this out, but hasn't got the bag to be able to take better pics, as it's her sisters.
Is someone going to be on here in a week or two, saying I bought a Chanel bag, paid by cheque & haven't received it, or I think I've been sold a fake Chanel bag?
