my cats are crazy

:o:o:o

Eeeekkk just moved house and have had lots of helpful advice that our 3 cats have to be kept in for 2 weeks.

Problem is they are actually driving me INSANE!! They are constantly running round like crazed banjees usually taking chuncks out of each other on the way. We have moved to a smaller house so they don't have as much space as they used to plus they can't go outside yet.

We have 3 cat climbing frames, 2 sctraching posts, various toys for them ...not sure what else I can do to keep them entertained for the next week...help!

I feel your pain haha. We moved last year to a small 1 bedroom with our 3, and they drove us and themselves crazy whilst they were kept indoors. No sleep was had by all for those 2 weeks! We ended up taking them out 1 by 1 on the harnesses, and got them used to their new garden and let them stretch their legs a little more (plus got them out of each others hair!) I guess one of those feliway diffusers could help. We never tried one, but only because i never knew about it at the time.
Other than that - play play and more play! Good luck!!!

We've only ever managed to keep ours in about three days when we moved and they always came home.

Mine escaped in less than 24 hours. He came home with no problems.

Yeah 2 of them I'm not really worried about - but the one is epilepic and basically isn't all there :o, he tends to fall off things and can't jump properly, bless him. ThereforeI might give the harness idea a try although think hes the only one who would stand for it :rotfl:

You might be surprised. We thought the same about ours, but all handled the harness pretty well! They were too busy sniffing around to be bothered about it.

Mine went out on the first day that we moved house (200 miles) and she came home, mind you she is very confident and not a nervous cat.....

I kept my boys in for about 4 weeks. One went straight back to his old house about a mile away and kept doing this for about a year. I drove me crackers as I kept having to go round to pick him up and it was so embarressing as well as the new owners of the house were not happy about him yowling at the top of his lungs outside there window all night!

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

Kept mine in for about 4 days as my older girl decided to launch herself out of an upstairs window. The dissusers are good- we have one and my mum swears she can tell when hers runs out as her cats attack each other
