    they are trying it on

    you want it all back.

so in effect you are claiming the monthly ppi premiums you have already paid, which if the loan is still active will come to

    48 monthly payments of £160.18 = £7,688.64

as you believe you have been mis-sold the policy which they have now confirmed as it does not cover the entire loan term you want 8% simple interest on the premiums you have paid for being deprived of your money, this totals approximately £1,255 on top of the £7,688.64 you have paid.

these figures will vary slightly due to the changes in the interest rate, they are currently based on the original agreement figures.

then you want the remainder of the ppi removing from the loan to take your monthly loan repayments down to £654 per month.

    i hope this helps,

let us know how you get on

Sorry i have just went over the figures and i get so far then bang im stuck so here is what i get:

    48 x 160.18 = 7688.64 (Correct)
    7688.64 x 9.52% = 731.96 (APR when PPI was taken out)
    7688.64 + 731.96 x 8% = 673.65 (FOS Standard Rate)

    Total im looking for = 7688.64 + 731.96 + 673.65 = £9094.25

    is that correct?
  • Hi all just thougth i would give you all an update, received a letter from the FOS 2 weeks ago saying they were siding with us and the PPI was misold.

This morning i received a letter from Central Capital (Brocker for Firstplus) with a acceptance form to sign and send back, all in all we are getting 100quid shy of 10k back and the remainder of the loan term adjusted to as if we never took PPI out so i recon a further saving of £150pm on the monthly payments.

Thanks to all who supplied me with help and especially the site for the tempelate letters.

    regards, one happy family.:j
