Downloading sounds etc.?

This is probably a very stupid question !
When I go onto a site eg. oceangram and click on a link to play a sound or show a clip my PC won't just play it, it has to download it and then I have to find it and play it seperately ? This happens whether I am using Firefox or IE.
Any thoughts on how I can get it to just play it on the browser ?
