Sorry wrangdumb but i do not think so,like i said b4 it is not a wise move to lie on a application,i was just stating that many people would lie in certain circumstances to obtain credit..
Anyway wrangdumb you seem a little jumpy on the subject have i hit nerve old son....0 -

Come come now, lets be adults here!!
The "hit the nail on the head" comment was a bit of a personal insult eh? Ever thought that, (like me,) Wrangler may have been the VICTIM of people lying to obtain credit?? My small business has had its' fair share of people just not caring about the difficulties their non-payment causes. One reason I got was that the bill wasn't being paid because I could afford it more than the customer could!?!
Most of us are on this site for advice & support of our fellow humans who may just have a bit of empathy with the rest of the world. Star-fire....would be gratefull for any pointers where you bought your very comfortable, high, pedestal...I'll know to avoid that shop.xx0 -

Totally agree Beverley Hills.
I am still looking at every possible option available to me to get me out out my situation.
I like to contribute to help others where I can and often take advise offered to me as well.
People are entitled to their opinions however much I disagree with certain ones but it is sad to see some of the negative posts.
If anyone is going to criticise, then hopefully it should be constructive criticsm.0 -

I was being constructive and just saying if you would go bankrupt mate it would not be the end of the world,as many people do go bankrupt and a few years later become very credit worthy again,i personally think it is your best option mate, and no its not a cowards way out but a lot of people in your position have made themselves very ill with worry about how to pay back this how to pay back that, your health is more important than the banks getting their money back,TBH in your position it should be a very easy decision..0 -

Thanks, I wasn't having a go at any individual, just the tone of the posts.
Bankruptcy is probably still the option at the moment that best fits my circumstances although I will exhaust every other possibility before taking this option if I have to.
I have been contacted by Payplan after filling in their online form. I have given them some basic details and am due to speak to one of their advisers shortly to give an in depth run down of the full figures so i should have a clearer picture by the end of the day.
Thanks again for your support and advice, it is appreciated.0 -
Good luck anyway, whichever way it goes.....Keep your chin up!!!!
Really do hope all goes well for you, let us know how you get on.0 -
You (and your family member) do of course realise that if you go BR their entitlement to be repaid is treated equally with all your other creditors.
So if you could only pay 2p in the £ and as you suggest you owe the family £5,000 they will walk away with £100...
Are they ready for this?
I only point this out because many people think they can 'pay the family' first (or even after the BR) but if caught you will be in serious doo-dooThe proof that some people really are opinionated and ignorant

I have already spoken to them about this, but as a family member they are naturally more concerned about me that the money so this is not a problem.
Spoke to Payplan regarding alternatives so just waiting on this, a DMP is out of the question though as I would be retired by the time it was paid back which even they said was not a suitable solotion.0 -

You have assumed that you will stay on a low income for the next x years... have you looked at working towards a better paying job, or taking on a second part time job? Both options would work wonders for your cashflow and enable to slash any repayment period I'm sure.
Maybe feeling like you're dealing with the situation, rather than blaming it on others will help your stress also?
Just a thought
