Property Development Insurance

On my main residence I have the usual home buildings & contents insurance (with Esure), but I need to arrange some form of insurance on a property I've just purchased for development and re-sale.

The property is unoccupied (and will remain so) as it needs a fair bit of refurbishment, so I'm assuming that I only need buildings insurance for 3 or 4 months, long enough to complete the refurb and to sell. I've noted that most of the big insurers only quote on-line if the property is your main residence, but obviously this is not the case here.

Any advice on 'best practice', good companies to use, etc.

Thanks.
