My last doggie had a secondary stomach tumour and we were told to feed him on well bolied white rice and cooked chicken, so that was all he ate for weeks, but it did seem to improve things alot.

Metacam gave him problems with his stomach as did rimadyl (sp?)

I wouldnt give up on him just yet, i actually made 2 appointments to have my much loved boy PTS but on both occasions he perked up by the next day - which quite frankly was typical of him.

I'm sure if your honest with yourself you will know when the time is right, if he doesnt show any improvement. It is a horrible desicion to make, but with my dog i could just look at him and tell that he had, had enough.

    hugs xx

    Just an update................

That day came this morning, when he went in the garden for 15th ish time in 2 hours, he collapsed and just looked at me. That was enough, and i knew the time had come. Its true what they say, they will let you know when they have had enough. I stayed with him, and he went very peacefully :( I have the tuft of hair that always stuck up, no matter what you did with it., and the nurses have taken a print of his paw. He is at peace and thats all that matters.......xxx
