Blackpool Tomorrow - Help please!

I want to take the kids to Blackpool tomorrow and we want to stay a couple of nights. I wrongly assumed I could book a family room at travel inn at the last minute but there's nothing available and I looked at travelodge but they are too far away.
Can anyone help with any suitable accomodation suggestions? They are not 'little' kids. Why does the big blue offer family deals but only cater for under 12?
It will be myself and two sons aged 14 & 15. Want to stay tues & weds night.
As a single mum, I can't afford the fancy hotels (unless anyone knows of any really good 2 night deals) but don't want a complete dive either.
I have used my clubcard vouchers to get the wristband vouchers for a day of rides and printed off any meal deals or vouchers for attractions I have been able to find, so it looks like the accomodation will be the main expense. Want something decent without spending a fortune.
Any suggestions would be great
Thanks

If you see anything you like on either website i would find out hotels phone number and give them a ring and see if you can get it cheaper."Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."0 -

Hi there, I can recommend a great B&B called Hotel 365, its on Londsale Road opposite the football stadium.
Its a 5 minute walk to the seafront and about halfway between the tower and the pleasure beach.
A midweek special offer is £22.50 per person per night, very clean very friendly and a cracking full english breakfast served until 10am.
I have stayed there twice, great host and late checkout as standard.

I would not touch this hotel with a bargepole, If you look at the pictures it looks like a Stag & Hen place. Not a place to go with 2 teenagers.GrimReaper wrote:Hi there, I can recommend a great B&B called Hotel 365, its on Londsale Road opposite the football stadium.

Why don't you go have a look at some Hotels without booking & look at the rooms before you pay any money over. Blackpool in general is crying out for business at the moment & make sure it says family & couples only on the door.

Respectfully without having stayed there I dont know how you can say its not suitable for teenagers.
Each room has TV/DVD own en suite shower and toilet.
I have stayed there twice (neither been a stag or a hen) and I am going again in September.
Once again great B&B great prices great host.0 -
Hi,
The Big Blue Hotel will allow 3 adults in a room. I stayed last week, a family room can have 2 single beds & bunk beds. I went with my MIL & 2 kids. My son didn't want to sleep in the bunk bed so I slept on bottom bunk.
The hotel is really nice, the restaurant does very good food & the staff were all very friendly. The only downside was that you HAVE to be down for breakfast before 9 or you'll wait for table.0 -
Thanks everyone for your help. I spent ages checking out the options but eventually I found that the travel inns release rooms at 1 o'clock and so although they were supposedly full earlier, they now have a family room for £55 a night which will be fine and I can use my leisure vouchers (thanks to pigsback.com) towards payment.
