Yes but say they ordered 200 and only sold 100 as part of the deal, that would leave 100 to be sold at full price.
They order in according to expected sales figured in order to minimise potential write-offs and maximise profits.
Although if you look at the plus side, instead of telling you that deal was no longer available due to stock shortages, they still took your order and tried to get a hold of new stock
