Good Price for supply and fit of combi boiler??? Thanks

Hi

We recently bought a house and have since gutted the place right through with the exception of the kitchen (haven't got the cash to do it just yet).

Anyway, our boiler is presently in the kitchen and we thought that because it was old, takes up space in the kitchen and the house is currently a mess that we would sacrifice a new fitted kitchen for time being and replace the central heating system with a more modern and upto date one.

All quotes have come in around £2400 - 2500 which inlcudes:

Fitting a Worcester Bosch Greenstar with remote stat
Moving the boiler into the loft space from the kitchen
Fitting a vertical flue (apparently these are more expensive but is required)
Rerouting the gas pipe into the loft for the boiler
removing all of the parts of the old CH system (tanks etc...)

This is for 2 fitters and will take 2 - 3 days - The reason i ask is that according to my own research, all of the parts/boiler come to around £1400, therefore labour is costing 1K for 3 days work (i wish i earned that for 3 days work).

Thanks in advance

Im getting mine done. Work is starting in the next few weeks. Ive been quoted 2900 for an Ideal Combi Boiler, with a five year guarantee. Im also having my old boiler removed and new piping put in. They said it costs more to replace a boiler than to put one in first time around. My old boiler is only five years old (Vokera), but its given me loads of problems and im not going to risk this winter. They said they are going to put a thermostat in and also clean the whole central heating system. I think my quote is also on the high side, but im just so fed up, I cant be bothered to search around.

A friend of mine had almost exactly the same done, about 3 months ago. New boiler, (Vaillant) relocated from kitchen to loft plus system comissioning which includes flushing.
Cost was 2.5k in the South East.
