Sky+ jumping when rec certain channels

hi all,
it seems lately when I record certain channels-alibi- when i play them back the recording keeps getting interupted and jumps minutes at a time. if I was to watch the programme it never seems to do this. It doesnt happen on other channels as far as I can see. I have made sure all cables are in tight but apart from an expensive call to sky not sure what to do?

Sounds like the start of a PSU failure (Power Supply Unit).especially commom on a Thompson box.Sky'll charge you £65 for a service call but,at the top of the Digital TV board,the's a list of digi box repairers
Sometimes pixilation or judder is caused by the dish being moved but as you're saying it's happening only when watching recorded programmes suggests the former.

Try a software download it wont lose you recordings

Turn off box at mains
Hold down "back up" button on the box
Keep holding button and power back on
After about 30 seconds you will get a software downloading message on screen
Let go of backup button and wait for software to load
