  • Does anyone know if this format can be played straight through a Sky+ box?
If national debt is increasing and we're in a global recession, who exactly are we borrowing money off? Aliens?!
  • sorry guys out of stock :((((((((((((((
  • Shame out of stock - but what a brill idea!!!!
  • IS there another good deal on USB memory sticks (4GB or 8GB)? I need a new one, one with fast read/write speed too.

The shape of this Star Trek one probably wouldn't fit the recessed USB port on my PC anyway. Looks a bit bulky.

Trek one came with some kind of attachment for the USB port. You might check hotukdeals for other thumb drives/memory cards on offer.

You can get a 4GB USB memory stick for £6.99 delivered, with the most recent Star Trek film thrown in for free. A cheap memory stick of this size can cost at least a fiver on their own, so this is a good deal.

The deal is with online shop MyMemory - you get the 4GB USB memory stick - which can be used to store photos, music, or any other files - plus Star Trek IX is already on the drive when you get it.

This leaves 3GB-ish of room, but you can move the Star Trek file to your computer to free up space, or even delete it if you feel so inclined.

Important! After you go through the checkout, MyMemory offers you the chance to get a cashback discount off your next purchase - do NOT sign up for this. You are actually joining a cashback club that costs £10 a month. Sadly many website have such a scheme linked after you buy its best avoided see the Cashback club problems explanation.

The file type is 'DivX', which non-techies would be forgiven for not hearing of before. However, it is easy and free to watch, you just need to download the right type of video player.

To do this is straightforward; go to the DivX website, click 'Free Download' and follow the instructions.

A bit of a marmite moment here, the memory stick is rather bulky and in the shape of some Star Trek paraphenalia (the Trekkies in the office plus a bit of Googling tell us this might be a 'Starfleet emblem').

A straw poll of MSE towers (with a very small sample group) tells us that some find this just about the coolest feature going, while others think it may be a tad cumbersome for a 'pocket-sized' device. One to make your own mind up on...

  • Hi all,

I noticed Asda are selling a 4GB SD card for £7 the other day. It may not come with StarTrek, but it comes without spam :-)
