Hi there
I am looking for a High-Definition LCD Television, but I am on a budget. The cheapest I have seen so far is 467.99 for a 32" LCD on https://www.savastore.com.
Does anyone know of anywhere to get good LCD HD TVs cheaply? I am mainly looking for 32" LCDs but If theres any good deals on other sizes that I can afford then I will certainly be considering them .
Thanks Very Much!

are you sure you need HD if your budget is tight?
only sky really provide HD broadcasts and the subscription is expensive. espically as most programs are not HD. live sport and limted programs are the only thing on offer at the mo.
HD dvd is still a long way off to.
having a HD tv is great but most things were not filmed in it !!!
HD tvs are a selling great guns i know but by the time that enough material becomes available to make me switch , they will be cheaper and BETTER than they are now.
i have i high quality CRT telly(£1400 rrp that i got for £1000 3 years ago) paired with a Arcam dvd player and sky it puts next doors expensive HD plasma to shame in every way.. why cause CRT has been perfected over many many years while Plasma and LCD still have problems.
a very good CRT ( i recomend a panasonic or sony) at the £400 mark will be money better spent IMO. pair it with a entry level Denon dvd and sky/freeview box with good quality connections , component best for DVD if available other wise scart RGB .RGB scart for sky . check your connections available before you buy and try to get a tv with one component input and at least one RGB . input. if no component input 2 RGB inputs if you want best quality from dvd and sky/ freeview
don,t skimp on leads though
THOR do very good priced leads for both. or shop around for good 2nd hand ones of ebay
i bet this sort of system will blow the Cheap LCD out of the waterBetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

This is a common error that people make re. HD. Anything filmed on 35mm film (cinema) can be converted to HD. One thing that people often don't realise is that the resolution of a cinematic picture is far higher resolution that HD. This is why you will find films such as Commando or Green Card on Sky HD movies as they have been converted to an HD resolution from the original masters. What does matter is the quality of the available master copies which, often, isn't that good which will affect the quality of the HD conversion.0 -
only sky really provide HD broadcasts and the subscription is expensive
Telewest provide an HD service and the subscription to SKYHD is £10 per month. There is an initial cost for buying the HD box but the subs ae not expensive per se. As for programmes there are 2 free HD movie channels . 2 SBOHD channels, BBCHD, DiscoveryHD and HistoryChannelHD, 2 HD sports channels and ArtsworldHD.
Believe me, your CRT will never come close to a decent HD plasma with an HD signal and setup correctly. The problem is that when you are viewing an SD signal on a big HD plasma there is significant upscaling required to match resolutions (your input will be lower res than the panel supports so the scaler needs to upscale the input to fill the screen).0 -

Connections should be the same if it's not an HD set. SCART/Component should all be present so same cables will be fine. if it's HD you want then this uses either, ideally, HDMI or you can use component input.0 -
